How to setup a server whitelist

Hey there MinecraftGamers! 👋 This guide will show you how to upload and use a custom .jar file on the dedicatedminecraft.host panel.

Setting up a whitelist is a simple and effective way to limit your Minecraft server to players who you trust. You'll simply add the names of the players you'll need to join your server. whitelist will prevent unauthorized users from connecting to your server and potentially damaging your world.

Step 1 Turn on Whitelist

This can be done in two ways

  1. Login to the dedicatedminecraft control panel.

  2. Select the Minecraft server that you want o turn the whitelist on and you'll be met with a console window.

  3. You'll see the type command on the console and type This whitelist on and enter.

or

  • Login to the dedicatedminecraft control panel.

  • select the file manager menu and look for the file named server.properties

  • Open the file and change the line containing enforce-whitelist=false

  • change false to true then restart your server.

Step 2 Adding players to the server Whitelist

Type: whitelist add [playername] in the console and press enter. Make sure you replace the playername with the minecraft player that you want to add to the whitelist.

Removing Players from the Whitelist Type: whitelist remove [playername] in the console and press enter. Make sure you replace the playername with the minecraft player that you want to remove form to the whitelist.

View Players in the Whitelist In your console, type: whitelist list and press enter.

View Players in the Whitelist In your console type: whitelist off and press enter.

That's it you have now secured your minecraft server with whitelists.
